Tondoon Botanic Gardens: are home to more than 1500 species of plants from the Port Curtis Region and far North Queensland. The gardens are set upon an 83 hectare site with a wide variety of flora and fauna. Lake Tondoon provides a habitat for a variety of freshwater birds. Free guided tours of the gardens are available. Picnic areas, toilets and a cafe are also located at the gardens making it the perfect spot for a family day out.
